A pre-race sample was taken from Ivoria Bale.
Legasov Bale was slow to begin.
Clyde Jakit, Keiki and Guinness Banshee collided soon after the start. Zipping Fleur and Keiki collided on the first turn; checking Zipping Fleur, Keiki, Guinness Banshee and Legasov Bale.
Keiki underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hindleg and abdominal muscle injuries. A five day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Cruising Ruby - the winner of the event.
