Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

A pre-race sample was taken from Crymelon Tactile.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately two minutes owing to the pre-race swab being undertaken.

Fishbone Express was quick to begin.

Red Mahogany and Crymelon Tactile collided soon after the start.  Electric Dreams, Ollie and Zipping Gypsy collided approaching the first turn.  Electric Dreams checked off Zipping Gypsy on the first turn, checking Ollie.  Ollie galloped on the heels Electric Dreams approaching the home turn, became unbalanced and fell.

Electric Dreams underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Ollie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right thigh.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

It was noted that the muzzle of Rockstar Jelfs became partically dislodged during the running of the event.

Golden Charm was slow to begin.

Fashion Icon and Serengeti Icon collided soon after the start.  Not Arandt and Fashion Icon collided approaching the first turn.  Fashion Icon and Serengeti Icon collided on the first turn, checking Fashion Icon.  Fashion Icon checked off Serengeti Icon approaching the home turn.

Nova's Girl and Fab Nine collided on the first turn, checking Fab Nine.  Dash Of Reyne raced wide approaching the home turn; checking Last Shot and Magnis Bale, causing Magnis Bale to race wide as a result.

Cadillac Prince was slow to begin.

Tin Can Sam and Numinous collided approaching the first turn.  Mahogany Storm and Weblec Bliss collided approaching the first turn.  Tin Can Sam, New Jack Swing and Numinous collided on the first turn, checking Tin Can Sam and Numinous.  Mahogany Storm checked off Weblec Bliss on the first turn, checking Rev Up Angel and Cadillac Prince.  Aston Helena checked off Numinous on the home turn.

Catalina Icon and Kraken Tex were slow to begin.

Legasov Bale was slow to begin.

Clyde Jakit, Keiki and Guinness Banshee collided soon after the start.  Zipping Fleur and Keiki collided on the first turn; checking Zipping Fleur, Keiki, Guinness Banshee and Legasov Bale.

Keiki underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hindleg and abdominal muscle injuries.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Cruising Ruby - the winner of the event.

The start of this race was delayed by one minute owing to the greyhounds arriving late to the start.  Stewards spoke the Parade Steward and advised him to be more diligent in having the greyhounds at the boxes by the required time.  

Akuma Fireball and Gettysburg were slow to begin.

Nitro Roxy, Eaglehawk Miss and Army Bale collided soon after the start, checking Eaglehawk Miss.  Battered Sav checked off Nitro Roxy approaching the first turn.  Akuma Fireball checked off Gettysburg on the first turn.  Aston Logic and Army Bale collided in the home straight.

Eaglehawk Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg toe injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Nitro Roxy - the winner of the event.

Kenita and Abelero Bale were slow to begin.

Clean Slate, Idria Bale and Barefoot Barry collided soon after the start, checking Idria Bale and Barefoot Barry.  Kenita, Barefoot Barry, Idria Bale, United Lass and Permit Granted collided approaching the first turn; checking Kenita, Idria Bale and United Lass.  Clean Slate raced wide approaching the home turn.  Abelero Bale and Lektra Yoyo collided approaching the winning post.

Barefoot Barry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Adelaide – New declared weight of 27.3 kg, last raced at 26.0 kg.

Plumber and Mahogany Jet collided soon after the start.  Elanda Bale, Barellen Pearl and Crazy Old Duck collided approaching the first turn, checking Elanda Bale and Plumber.  Mahogany Jet checked off Zipping Martina on the first turn and raced wide.

Cherokee Fawn, Jaggered and Not All Over collided soon after the start.  Irina Bale, Denise's Vision and La La Nebraska collided soon after the start.  Denise's Vision, Jaggered and Not All Over collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds.  My Oh Fernando and Irina Bale collided on the first turn, checking Irina Bale.

Stewards spoke to Mr B Fothergill, the trainer of Too Far, regarding the scratching of this greyhound from the event.  Stewards noted Mr Fothergill's other runner, Murray Nan was afforded an empty box on either side due to the scratching of Maximum Capers (box 6) and Too Far (box 8).  Mr Fothergill stated that Too Far was sore in the shoulder after he exercised the greyhound on Sunday.  Mr Fothergill added that Too Far had not recovered in time and scratched the greyhound pursuant to the rules.  Stewards noted his comments.

Gaudi Chaudi was slow to begin.

Gaudi Chaudi checked off Cookie Deeds approaching the first turn.  Gaudi Chaudi galloped on Cookie Deeds on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.

A post-race sample was taken from Russian Sub - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs H Baxter, the trainer of Gaudi Chaudi, and the Starter regarding the greyhound not being boxed in the correct sequence as directed under the boxing process in Victoria.  Stewards reminded Mrs Baxter of her repsonsibilities with this matter.  Stewards advised the Starter to be more diligent when the greyhounds are under his orders.  This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation. 

Kentucky Sun – New declared weight of 33.7 kg, last raced at 32.5 kg.

La Bamba Icon and Serene Machine collided on the first turn, checking Serene Machine.  La Bamba Icon checked off Kentucky Sun on the home turn.
