Steward's Report
Mr. G. Campbell was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Crumb Snags pursuant to GAR 33.
Aston Titan was quick to begin. Crumb Snags and Max Hombre collided soon after the start. Winlock Mungo and Oriental Amber collided approaching the first turn. Aston Titan, Giaan's Girl, Winlock Mungo and Oriental Amber collided approaching the home turn checking Winlock Mungo and Aston Titan, severely checking Giaan's Girl. Oriental Amber and Fishbone Express collided in the home straight. Crumb Snags turned it's head outwards and collided with Fishbone Express in the home straight.
Crumb Snags underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5. Crumb Snags was found to have a right sesamoid injury and a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. A. Julian, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Crumb Snags was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Julian pleaded guilty to the charge, Crumb Snags must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
