Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Freddy Reiko and Aston Samurai collided approaching the first turn. Crymelon Tactile clipped the heels of Freddy Reiko on the first turn. Crumlin and La La Jersey collided approaching the home turn.

Mr. G. Campbell was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Crumb Snags pursuant to GAR 33.

Aston Titan was quick to begin. Crumb Snags and Max Hombre collided soon after the start. Winlock Mungo and Oriental Amber collided approaching the first turn. Aston Titan, Giaan's Girl, Winlock Mungo and Oriental Amber collided approaching the home turn checking Winlock Mungo and Aston Titan, severely checking Giaan's Girl. Oriental Amber and Fishbone Express collided in the home straight. Crumb Snags turned it's head outwards and collided with Fishbone Express in the home straight.

Crumb Snags underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5. Crumb Snags was found to have a right sesamoid injury and a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. A. Julian, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Crumb Snags was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Julian pleaded guilty to the charge, Crumb Snags must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cruyff - Late scratching at the boxes at 3:49pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

John John Dory was slow to begin. Aston Anita and La La Louise were quick to begin. Aston Anita and Maximum Capers collided approaching the first turn checking Maximum Capers. Why Not Ben and Aston Anita collided on the first turn checking Aston Anita. John John Dory and Cool Limit collided on the home turn.

Fernando Booker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Lean In was quick to begin. This Time Bro and Weblec Pearl collided on the first turn checking This Time Bro. Step Aside and Permit Granted on the home turn. Aston Select and Permit Granted collided entering the home straight. Permit Granted and Aston Select collided in the home straight. Permit Granted, Aston Select and Weblec Pearl collided in the home straight.

Permit Granted underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have diarrhoea. Permit Granted appeared to be bright and well otherwise and no stand down period was imposed.

Lachie's Legacy was slow to begin. Weetbix Jester and Black Canvas collided approaching the second turn checking Black Canvas. Black Canvas and Line Seeker collided approaching the third turn and again approaching the home turn checking Black Canvas.

Gallant Toby - Late scratching at the boxes at 17:21 on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to injuries to the left monkey muscle and left fore toe. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
