Steward's Report
Indy Nevada and Late Night Kebab were quick to begin Superior Jacob was slow to begin. Daisy Hill galloped on Indy Nevada on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Stan's Hope galloped on Daisy Hill Lad on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Superior Jacob marred Mahogany Storm in the home straight, checking Mahogany Storm.
Mahogany Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Handler Mr D.Cortese declined the option to have the greyhound Superior Jacob vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr D.Cortese, the handler of Superior Jacob regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Superior Jacob was charged with marring. Mr Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, Superior Jacob is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
