Track curator Mr J. Loudon advised the track was lightly harrowed on Friday 21 August 2020.

Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Lainey Zapper, Magic Indeed, Buy The Dip, Dr. Tobain, Riverdale Tommy and Beach Master collided approaching the first turn, checking Lainey Zapper, Buy The Dip, Dr. Tobain and causing Magic Indeed to fall. Lainey Zapper checked off Dr. Tobain on the first turn. Lainey Zapper, Buy The Dip and Sweet Rhythm collided on the first turn, checking Lainey Zapper and severely checking Buy The Dip which contacted the running rail.

Magic Indeed underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a sacro-iliac injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Buy The Dip underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe fracture on the right hind. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

What's The Code and Kutcher's Rusile collided approaching the first turn, causing What's The Code to contact the running rail and lose ground. Heads Or Tails and Mahogany collided approaching the first turn. Kutcher's Rusile, Buzz Out and Blackpool Storm collided on the first turn, checking Buzz Out. Red Mahogany checked off What's The Code on the first turn, checking Heads Or Tails.

He's A Geezer and Aston Anita collided repeatedly on the home turn and entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

All Spiced Up was quick to begin. Why Not Ben was slow to begin. Miss Marley and Riverdale Mitch collided soon after the start. Riverdale Mitch and Barunga Bullet approaching the first turn, checking Barunga Bullet. Riverdale Mitch, Max Mccartin and Merriview Jolt collided on the first turn, checking Riverdale Mitch and Max Mccartin. Riverdale Mitch galloped on Merriview Jolt approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Riverdale Bluey and Merriview Jolt collided on the home turn.

Titanium Lad shifted in soon after the start, checking Sir Julian, Aston Verve and Titanium Lad. Riverdale Tuohy and Titanium Lad collided approaching the first turn. Crazy Old Fool checked off Red Hot Chance approaching the first turn, checking Sir Julian. Sir Julian, Aston Verve and Southern Edge collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Sir Julian checked Crazy Old Fool approaching the home turn, checking Aston Verve. Red Hot Chance and Titanium Lad collided repeatedly in the home straight. Aston Verve and Southern Edge collided in the home straight. Sir Julian and Aston Verve collided approaching the winning post.  

Sir Julian underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Hazy's Girl and Tommy Cawbourne were slow to begin. Just A Fidget checked Mahogany Queen approaching the first turn. Aerolithology and Mahogany Queen collided on the first turn, checking Mahogany Queen.

Just A Fidget underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising on right hind toe. No stand down period was imposed.

Indy Nevada and Late Night Kebab were quick to begin Superior Jacob was slow to begin. Daisy Hill galloped on Indy Nevada on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Stan's Hope galloped on Daisy Hill Lad on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Superior Jacob marred Mahogany Storm in the home straight, checking Mahogany Storm.

Mahogany Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Handler Mr D.Cortese declined the option to have the greyhound Superior Jacob vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr D.Cortese, the handler of Superior Jacob regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Superior Jacob was charged with marring. Mr Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, Superior Jacob is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Gasoline checked Lainey Basil soon after the start. State Of Mine, Calico Bull and Blackpool Holly collided approaching the first turn, checking State Of Mine. Gasoline raced wide on the home turn. Blackpool Holly and Riverdale Bear collided in the home straight. 

Flaming Assassin, Aston Jansz and Apache Chaz collided soon after the start. Apache Chaz checked Aston Jansz on the first turn. Rezzie's Choice checked Elegant Malt on the first turn, checking Aston Jansz and Maximum Abbie. Flaming Assassin and Aston Jansz raced wide in the home straight.
