A pre-race sample was taken from Rocket Boy.
Neo Bale and Annie Rose were slow to begin. Airly Pablo checked off Fergusta Bale soon after the start. Adonis Sands, Rocket Boy and Zambora Bear collided approaching the first turn checking Adonis Sands. Fergusta Bale and Zambora Bear collided on the first turn checking Zambora Bear. Airly Pablo and Annie Rose collided approaching the home turn.
Annie Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind pencil muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
