Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Gap Cabang was quick to begin.

Blazin' Jewel checked off Ieisha Bale soon after the start.  Ieisha Bale checked off Gap Cabang approaching the first turn.  All In Time and Blue Tick Fern collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  All In Time galloped on Gap Cabang approaching the home turn causing Gap Cabang to race wide and collide with Jacky's Eden, severely checking Jacky's Eden and Romeo Bale.  All In Time and Blue Tick Fern collided in the home straight.

Jacky's Eden underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Boes Rose and Gracie's Girl collided soon after the start.  Boes Rose, It's All Luck and Free Kick Hawks collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds, Boes Rose and Free Kick Hawks raced wide as a result.  Laxman checked off Why Not Gigi on the first turn, Laxman raced wide as a result.  Laxman and It's All Luck collided entering the home straight checking Laxman.  Gracie's Girl and It's All Luck collided approaching the winning post.

Run To You checked off Pontiac Bandit soon after the start.  Sonic Sensation, Pontiac Bandit and Fashion Icon collided approaching the first turn checking Pontiac Bandit and Fashion Icon.  Simmons and Pontiac Bandit collided on the second turn checking Simmons.  Run To You and Fashion Icon collided on the third turn checking Fashion Icon.  Pontiac Bandit visibly eased approaching the winning post.

Pontiac Bandit underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no appaprent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Ms Nicole Lund, the trainer of Pontiac Bandit after she declined a re-vet, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Pontiac Bandit was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Lund pleaded guilty to the charge, Pontiac Bandit is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Serengeti Icon and Smoothe Talker were slow to begin.

Parumba Barty and Jayville Slick collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  New Punchline and Zipping Clifford collided on the first turn checking Zipping Clifford and Jayville Slick, Jayville Slick raced wide as result.  Parumba Barty and Smooth Talker collided on the second turn.  Zipping Clifford and Jayville Slick collided on the third turn checking Zipping Clifford.  Line Seeker, New Punchline and Parumba Barty collided on the fourth turn checking all three greyhounds.  New Punchline and Jayville Slick collided on the fifth turn checking New Punchline and Zipping Clifford.  Parumba Barty tired in the home straight.

Parumba Barty underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Ms Lina Repici, the trainer of Parumba Barty regarding its performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Parumba Barty must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cloncurry Girl checked off Weeping Angel soon after the start.  Lemonade Kid, Why Not Bazzar and Run Baba Run collided approaching the first turn checking Lemonade Kid.  It's A Drama, Rusty Model and Weeping Angel collided approaching the first turn.  Lemonade Kid checked off Why Not Bazzar on the first turn severely checking It's A Drama and Rusty Model.  It's A Drama checked off Weeping Angel approaching the home turn.
