A pre-race sample was taken from Xalynn Bale.
Kiwi Al, Xalynn Bale and What Price Mason collided soon after the start causing Xalynn Bale to fall. Mighty Matilda and Muza's Gift collided on the first turn checking Muza's Gift, Muza's Gift and Blair Bale collided as a result checking Kiwi Al and What Price Mason, severely checking Muza's Gift. Mighty Matilda was checked off Mia's Hand approaching the home turn. Mighty Matilda and Mia's Hand collided entering the home straight.
Xalynn Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraco-lumbar injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
