Maddox Bale faltered soon after the start and tailed off. Amnesty Girl and Call Me Tanya collided on the first turn. Amnesty Girl, Call Me Tanya and Fernando Toy collided approaching the home turn checking Fernando Toy.
Maddox Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Wendy Maria - the winner of the event.
Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry into the conduct of trainer Mr Anthony Costa following the sample being taken from Wendy Maria.
