A pre-race sample was taken from Nancy Baker.
He's A Geezer, Runing For Juddy, Nana Rose, Explosive Avatar, Baileys And Milk and Max McCartin collided soon after the start, checking Explosive Avatar and Baileys And Milk. He's A Geezer, Runing For Juddy and Nana Rose collided approaching the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Max McCartin, He's A Geezer and Nancy Baker collided on the first turn, checking He's A Geezer, Nancy Baker and Nana Rose. Runing For Juddy and Explosive Avatar collided approaching the home turn.
Following the event Nana Rose collapsed in the catching pen and displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A five day stand down penalty was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 74 Stewards directed that Nana Rose must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.
