With Confidence and Welsly Bale collided soon after the start. Rock Me Gorgeous, Rock Me David, With Confidence and Welsly Bale collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. With Confidence checked off Rock Me David approaching the first turn. Rock Me Gorgeous, Rock Me David and Welsly Bale collided approaching the first turn. Frankie Fever, Potent and War Creek collided on the first turn. Potent checked off Frankie Fever on the second turn. Frankie Fever checked off War Creek entering the back straight. With Confidence checked off Welsly Bale in the back straight. Potent and War Creek collided approaching the home turn. With Confidence checked off Welsly Bale in the home straight. Frankie Fever shifted in and Potent shifted out approaching the winning post causing both greyhounds to collide.
Potent underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain and right deltoid injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jihad Talgi, the representative of Potent and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.
