Steward's Report
Big Jo and Kismet Storm were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Carry On Angel and Zipping Whoopi collided soon after the start. Kismet Storm crossed in soon after the start checking Big Jo and Red Light Rico. Kismet Storm checked off Slick Intention approaching the first turn checking Red Light Rico. Carry On Angel and Slick Intention collided on the first turn. Red Light Rico and Kismet Storm collided approaching the second turn. Kismet Storm and Big Jo collided on the second turn severely checking Kismet Storm which lost ground as a result. Dustification checked off Big Jo in the back straight. It's My Party checked off Red Light Rico in the back straight. Zipping Whoopi and Big Jo collided on the third turn. Zipping Whoopi veered out eased and collided with Big Jo approaching the home turn. It's My Party checked off Slick Intention in the home straight.
Zipping Whoopi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mrs Heather Collins, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Zipping Whoopi was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Whoopi must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
