Steward's Report
All To Lucky was quick to begin. Finlaystone and Bobby Bean Rose were slow to begin. Clan McMillan and Sandy Gem collided soon after the start. Sandy Gem checked off Kobe approaching the first turn. Finlaystone contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Clan McMillan and Kobe collided on the first turn checking Madalia Phoebe severely checking Clan McMillan and Kobe. All To Lucky and Block Star collided on the first turn checking Block Star. All To Lucky checked off Bobby Bean Rose on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Madalia Phoebe checked off Block Star approaching the home turn. Kobe visably eased approaching the home turn and collided with Madalia Phoebe, Checking Madalia Phoebe.
Kobe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Jennifer Gill, the trainer of Kobe regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Kobe was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Gill pleaded guilty to the charge, Kobe must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
