Dr. Mick was quick to begin. Drakari was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Lucero checked off Dr. Ted approaching the first turn checking Suzie Rose. Suzie Rose contacted the running rail approaching the first turn and fell as a result. Lucero and On The Duck collided approaching the first turn checking Lucero. Dr. Mick and Dr. Ted collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Dr. Mick, Aston Frigate and On The Duck collided approaching the home turn checking Dr. Mick and Aston Frigate. Aston Frigate checked off On The Duck approaching the home turn checking On The Duck. Dr. Mick and Aston Frigate collided approaching the home turn.
Suzie Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain and a laceration to the left foreleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Reality Lad underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a laceration to the left shoulder, skull fracture to right orbit and concussion. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. This matter has been referred to the GRV Racing Department.
