Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sweet Harriet.
Midnight Titan, Angie Ling, Ocean Star and Snap Decision collided on the first turn checking Ocean Star and Angie Ling. Angie Ling and Gardener's Boyo collided approaching the second turn. Midnight Titan, Pure Cool Titan and Quest Allen collided approaching the second turn. Snap Decision visable eased and turned its head approaching the home turn and collided with Sweet Harriet, severely checking both greyhounds. Gardeners Boyo and Quest Allen collided approaching the home turn.
Snap Decision underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9. Snap Decision was found to have a carpal sprain wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke toMr. Trevor Whitford, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Snap Decision was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge, Snap Decision must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
