Steward's Report
Deering Danae and Tommy Cawbourne were slow to begin.
Little Fernado, Cracked Soda and Aston Sofia collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Sofia. Tommy Cawbourne, Little Fernando and Aston Sofia collided on the first turn. Spinner Hook clipped the heels of Tough Dude approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Little Fernando and Aston Sofia collided approaching the home turn. Deering Danae, Tough Dude and Spinner Hook collided on the home turn checking Tough Dude and Spinner Hook. Spinner Hook visable eased and collided with Tough Dude entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Tough Dude underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg chest injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Spinner Hook underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Aaron Farley, the representative of Spinner Hook regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Spinner Hook was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Farley pleaded not guilty to the charge, Spinner Hook was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
