Steward's Report
Brady's Shout and Franki Jay were slow to begin. Who Cry Now and Maximum Refusal collided soon after the start. Brady's Shout, Blinken Billy, Mepunga Pegasus, Franki Jay, Who Cry Now and Maximum Refusal collided approaching the first turn checking Mepunga Pegasus and Who Cry Now. Blinken Billy, Mepunga Pegasus and Franki Jay collided on the first turn. Blinken Billy and Who Cry Now collided on the second turn. Franki Jay checked off Maximum Refusal on the second turn forcing Franki Jay to race wide. Mepunga Pegasus checked off Blinken Billy entering the back straight and stumbled as a result.
Mepunga Pegasus was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Supplementary Report: On Wednesday 15 July 2020, the Stewards received a Veterinary Report from Dr Des Fagan indicating that Franki Jay had a torn tendon in the right achilles, which could/will require a 60 day rehabilitation.
