Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Yoel Bale.
Hatters Lane was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Yoel Bale and Gentleman Thief collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Always Ho Ho and Pair Of Nines collided approaching the third turn. Hatters Lane raced wide on the home turn. Yoel Bale marred Two Up Thommo in the home straight.
Yoel Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr G. Dailly, Representative of Yoel Bale regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Yoel Bale was charged with marring. Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Yoel Bale is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
