Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Darnum Dynamite.
Darnum Dynamite and Bella Boom were quick to begin. Major Diamond and Maybe Sienna were slow to begin.
Tinker Calie, Kurtlee Bale and He's A Geezer collided soon after the start, checking He's A Geezer and Kurtlee Bale. Tinker Calie, Bella Boom and Darnum Dynamite collided on the first turn, checking Darnum Dynamite and Bella Boom. He's A Geezer contacted the rail on the first turn and lost ground. Kurtlee Bale and Maybe Sienna collided approaching the home turn, checking Maybe Sienna. Bella Boom checked off Tinker Calie approaching the home turn. Darnum Dynamite eased and collided with Bella Boom in the home straight. Major Diamond and Bella Boom collided approaching the winning post, checking Bella Boom.
Darnum Dynamite underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg stopper and left hindleg hip injuries. A seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr P Handley regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Darnum Dynamite was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Handley pleaded guilty to the charge, Darnum Dynamite is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
