Almani Rampage, Thursday Thunder and Come On Levendi collided soon after the start checking Thursday Thunder.  Come On Levendi checked off Winlock Kin approaching the home turn. Artemisia checked off Major Winston in the home straight.  Devil Fish lost ground in the home straight.

Devil Fish underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4 - no appaprent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard, the trainer of Devil Fish regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Devil Fish must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jumping Breen - Late scratching at 5:22pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr C. Johannsen was fined $100.

Sprout – Late scratching at 5:43pm due to the greyhound's non arrival by the required kennelling time (GAR 31). No stand down period was imposed on this occasion. Trainer Mr G. Brett was fined $100.

Blue Larrikin was slow to begin.

Edaline Bale and Shy Gem collided soon after the start.  Edaline Bale, Shy Gem and Aston Jolie collided on the first turn checking Shy Gem and severely checking Blue Larrikin causing Blue Larrikin to race wide.

Akina Harley was very slow to begin (6 lengths).

Why Not Luv, Dewana Milkshake and Buddy Goes bang collided soon after the start.  Why Not Luv galloped on Busy Bella approaching the home turn.  It's A Wish galloped on Why Not Luv approaching the home turn.  Dewana Milkshake galloped on Why Not Luv entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Why Not Luv and Akina Harley collided approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from Black Beauty at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.

Hadarah Bale, Kiomara and Screen Shot collided on the first turn checking Hadarah Bale, Black Beauty and severely checking Kiomara which fell.  Hadarah Bale and Black Beauty collided on the second turn.  Black Beauty checked off Screen Shot approaching the fourth turn.  Black Beauty clipped the heels of Screen Shot approaching the home turn.  Screen Shot and Black Beauty collided entering the home straight.  Screen Shot, Black Beauty and Lightwood Lass collided in the home straight.  Black Beauty visably turned its head in and marred Screen Shot in the home straight.

Kiomara underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left hind toe, thigh and metacarpal.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Black Beauty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left radis.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Cortese, the trainer of Black Beauty regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Black Beauty was charged with marring. Mr Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, Black Beauty is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

One Step Forward - Late scratching at 1:32pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Winlock Newbolt and Rock Me Gorgeous collided soon after the start.  Off To Monaco, Akina Moss and Fyodor Bale collided soon after the start.  Winlock Newbolt checked off Rock Me Gorgeous approaching the first turn.  Akina Moss and Fyodor Bale collided several times from the first turn to the second turn.  Winlock Newbolt and Rock Me Gorgeous collided approaching the winning post. 

This race was delayed by approx. 1 1/2 minutes due to insignificant time between races.

Perrie The Fairy and Zipping Navy were quick to begin.  Reap The Rewards was slow to begin.

Perrie The Fairy and Lemonade Kid collided on the first turn.  Reap The Rewards, Lemonade Kid and Kimani collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  Perrie The Fairy and Lemonade Kid collided approaching the winning post.  

Perrie The Rewards underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident entering the catching pen and was found to have a right calf injury and an abrasion and bruising to the left radius.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Kinloch Journey was quick to begin.

Mighty Matilda and Break The Plate collided approaching the first turn severely checking Mighty Matilda which brushed the running rail as a result.  Callum Ari and Mini Yaala collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  

Red Queen was quick to begin.

One Thrill and Destini Agitator collided soon after the start checking One Thrill.  That Will Be, Galena Bale, One Thrill and Destini Agitator collided on the first turn checking Galena Bale.  Winlock Buttons checked off Why Not Hugh approaching the home turn checking One Thrill, Destini Agitator and Princess Ollie.  Winlock Buttons and Galena Bale collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
