Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Kennels closed approximately 13 minutes late due to technical difficulties with the internet service during the kennelling process. 

Track Curator J. Ryan advised that the track was lightly harrowed on Wednesday 24/6/2020.

A pre-race sample was taken from Brock's Boy.

Brock's Boy went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Mt. View Wrap began awkwardly and was slow to begin. 

Got Some Zip and Your Queen collided soon after the start. Midnight Dancer and Clonmore collided soon after the start. Your Queen checked off Clonmore at the 250m mark. Braemar Ally Fay and Got Some Zip collided several times from the 250m mark to the 50m mark checking both greyhounds. Brock's Boy checked off Clonmore at the 50m mark checking Your Queen. Midnight Dancer crossed to the inside at the 50m mark checking Your Queen. 

Megahertz, Midnight Drifter & Nitro Nana were slow to begin

Light Show crossed to the rails soon after the start and collided with Husky Freckle, checking Sense Of Wonder, Midnight Drifter and Nitro Nana. Nitro Nana and Husky Freckle collided at the 300m mark. Sense Of Wonder and Light Show collided several times at the 300m mark. Megahertz lost ground from the 300m mark. Husky Freckle clipped the heels of Swordfish Fozz at the 275m mark. Husky Freckle and Swordfish Fozz collided at the 250m mark. Sense Of Wonder clipped the heels of Midnight Drifter at the 100m mark. Nitro Nana and Husky Freckle collided approaching the winning post checking Nitro Nana. 

Midnight Drifter underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen and was found to have a right groin muscle injury and a spike wound. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Megahertz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Megahertz was found to have a spike wound on both hind paws. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Simon Humphries, the trainer of Megahertz regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Megahertz must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Boes Bounty - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Braemar Furey.

Catch Me Spolly was slow to begin. 

Gaint Shadow crossed the rails at the 200m mark checking Draconic Lad. Braemar Furey galloped on Giant Shadow at the 200m mark. Braemar Furey faltered at the 150m mark and subsequently tailed off.

Braemar Furey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

Following race 3 Stewards walked the track in the vicinity of the 150m mark and found no issues of concern; the track was deemed satisfactory for racing.

Awesome Asset was slow to begin. 

Too Far Bro, Ryder Sir and Springvale Misty collided soon after the start checking Too Far Bro and Ryder Sir. Springvale Misty and Electric Mick collided at the 200m mark checking Too Far Bro. Ryder Sir faltered at the 175m mark and subsequently tailed off. Springvale Misty checked off Electric Mick at the 100m mark. Too Far Bro and Electric Mick collided at the 75m mark. 

Ryder Sir underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and left back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Butch Regis – New declared weight of 34.7kgs, last raced at 35.9kgs.

Butch Regis and Flying Moss collided soon after the start. Ted's Dream, Shirdale Tom and Inter Cody collided soon after the start. Butch Regis crossed to the outside soon after the start. Shirdale Tom and Inter Cody shifted in at the 300m mark checking Ted's Dream. Tim Tam Sam, Shirdale Tom and Inter Cody collided at the 275m mark. Tim Tam Sam and Shirdale Tom collided several times from the 200m mark to the 150m mark.

Time Twister and Thrill Me were slow to begin.

Aston Guiness, Thrill Me, As Only Is and Inter Helen collided at the 175m mark checking As Only Is. 

Flaming Fabio was slow to begin. 

Alfie Mikado and Osiris Child collided soon after the start. Flaming Fabio and Stilton Rush collided at the 250m mark. Kalter checked off Exford Lass at the 150m mark. Alfie Mikado and Kalter collided at the 100m mark. 

A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Sheila - the winner of the event.

Aston Squire was slow to begin. 

Usain Spolly, My Victoria, Superior Merlot and Meehan Pebbles collided soon after the start. Meehan Pebbles faltered at the 200m mark and subsequently tailed off. 

Meehan Pebbles underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Chasin' Louie, Alana Rose and Mad Mcenroe collided soon after the start.
