Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Black Booker, Emergency and Husky Freckle were slow to begin. Sunshine Spolly and Magic Indeed collided approaching the first turn. Sunshine Polly, American Star and Husky Freckle collided on the first turn. Astro Naughton and Husky Freckle collided approaching the home turn. Sunshine Polly, Emergency, Magic Indeed and American Star collided approaching the home turn checking Sunshine Polly, Magic Indeed and Emergency. Astro Naughton, American Star and Husky Freckle collided on the home turn checking Husky Freckle. Sunshine Polly and Magic Indeed collided several times in the home straight. Magic Indeed underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found. Mr. M. Chilcott declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Chilcott, the representative of Magic Indeed regarding its performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Magic Indeed must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Waikerie Bandit.

Sense Of Wonder and Waikerie Bandit collided soon after the start. Pete Cabang and Nicko Dancer collided approaching the first turn. Alana Rose and Pete Cabang collided on the first turn. Black Rose Texas was a late scratching at 4:29pm pursuant to GAR 46(2). Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry with trainer Ms Yvonne Carter into the circumstances regarding the late scratching of the greyhound, Black Texas Rose.

Another Vader and Dundee Blitz were slow to begin. Plumcad and Sense collided on the first turn. Dundee Blitz and Plumcad collided on the home turn. 

Supplementary Report:

On 18 June 2020, Stewards completed an adjourned inquiry from 17 June 2020 into a breach of GAR 46(2) - after Black Texas Rose was withdrawn by race-Day stewards due to the non-appearance of the trainer to handle the greyhound before racing. After considering the circumstances surrounding the commission of the offence, Trainer Ms Yvonne Carter was fined $250, which was wholly suspended for 6 months pending no further breaches.

Berringa Blue and Spot On Mick were slow to begin. Cullquin Freya, Ben Doon, Berringa Blue, Al's Vixen, Spot On Mick, Deadly Walk and Arancini collided on the first turn checking Cullquin Freya, Ben Doon, Berringa Blue, Al's Vixen, Spot On Mick and Arancini. Cullquin Freya and Arancini collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.

Cullquin Freya underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Burning Eddy was quick to begin. Yondu and Lightning Artist collided on the first turn checking Yondu. Burning Eddy and Guilty As collided approaching the second turn. Aston Squire galloped on the heels of Burning Eddy approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Guilty As visibly eased approaching the second turn checking Burning Eddy, Aston Squire and Guilty As. Burning Eddy and Aston Squire collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn.

Guilty As underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left sesamoid injury and a spike wound to the right hind limb. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representatative Mr. T. Salpigtidis, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Guilty As was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Salpigtidis pleaded guilty to the charge, Guilty As must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Brave Hearted went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (6L). Brindle Delight and Tin Can Sam collided approaching the first turn. Lea Arandt and Tin Can Sam collided approaching the first turn checking Lea Arandt. Lea Arandt and Pyrenees Daisy collided approaching the first turn. Pyrenees Daisy raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Unusual Suspect, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Mr C.Blake did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event. 

Midnight Titan and Winlock Squints collided approaching the first turn severely checking Midnight Titan which lost ground. Gazza's Pick and Clyde Jakit collided approaching the first turn. Tashendo and Clyde Jakit collided on the first turn. Jackie Jai and Big Baccala collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn.

Midnight Titan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury and a right calf injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Frost.

Pyrenees Inferno was quick to begin. Chatty Gary was slow to begin. Flying Moss and Nambrok Agent collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Nambrok Agent. Hagrid Grange clipped the heels of Pyrenees Inferno approaching the home turn. Hagrid Grange raced wide in the home straight.
