Steward's Report
Lochinvar Deus and Romanova were slow to begin and collided.
Close Encounter and Bob's Brew collided entering the back straight. Oddjob Lad and Bob's Brew collided in the back straight. Bob's Brew checked off Down Mexico Way on the second turn checking Romanova, Manny Allen and Oddjob Lad. Lochinvar Deus and Down Mexico Way collided on the home turn. Lochinvar Deus turn its head inwards in the home straight. Aston Lindop raced wide in the home straight.
Lochinvar Deus underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported, Trainer Mr R. Gladman declined the option of a re-vet. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr R Gladman regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Lochinvar Deus was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Gladman pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lochinvar Deus was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
