Tara's Magic checked off Little Samara on the first turn. Usain Spolly and Grace Intention collided on the first turn. Grace Intention checked off Usain Spolly approaching the home turn. Ninetymile Hawk and Little Samara collided on the home turn. Usain Spolly raced wide on the home turn. Banjo Sally turned its head outwards entering the home straight. Tara's Magic and Grace Intention collided in the home straight.
Kareda Gold underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Banjo Sally underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right elbow injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr C. Leviston, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Banjo Sally was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Leviston pleaded guilty to the charge, Banjo Sally must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
