Lucky Luna was slow to begin.
Why Not Kaleb and Nothing Lasts collided soon after the start. Chief Command checked off Zoe's Intention approaching the first turn, checking Chief Command, Ice Cold Yug and Nothing Lasts. Nothing Lasts and Lucky Luna collided on the first turn, severely checking Lucky Luna and severely checking Nothing Lasts, which fell as a result.
Nothing Lasts underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a scapula fracture left foreleg and an abrasion to the right carpus. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
