Stewards questioned Trainer, Mr. John Mangion regarding the number of starts Hitomi Bale has had over the past fortnight - 6 starts in 14 days. Mr Mangion stated that the greyhound does little work between runs, doesn't trial between races and the greyhound races in good form with this strategy. Stewards noted Mr Mangions explanation.
McIvor Ernie and Aston Sofia collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Sofia. Maddox Bale, Casanova Man and Oriental Sugar collided on the first turn checking Maddox Bale. Maddox Bale and Hitomi Bale collided approaching the home turn. McIvor Ernie raced wide in the home straight.
