Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter Mr J.Larosa did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Zipping Trent was a late scratching at 8:30am, Stewards Penalty. A 10 day stand down penalty was applied.
Manila Mist was very slow to begin - 3 lengths. Mustered Courage, Patricia Mary and Cardiff Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Patricia Mary. Chasin' Donuts, Mustered Courage, Cardiff Bale and Manila Mist collided on the first turn. Op Shop and Zipping Solo collided on the first turn checking Op Shop. Mustered Courage and Cardiff Bale collided on the home turn checking Cardiff Bale which collided with Patricia Mary, checking Patricia Mary.
Cardiff Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. P. Smoor regarding the racing manners of greyhound, Cardiff Bale on the home turn. After viewing all available video footage, Stewards own observations and Mr Smoors submissions, no further action was taken.
