Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Just A Fidget - Late scratching at 2.40pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a tail injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mad Goosey was slow to begin.

Mr. Coconut checked off Foot Peg on the first turn. Leo's My Champ checked off Our Flying Bolt approaching the home turn. Leo's My Champ and Lead The Parade raced wide in the home straight.

Hissy Fit checked off Dr. Tobain soon after the start. Simmons raced wide on the home turn. Kraken Tyson crossed to the outside entering the home straight severely checking Dr. Tobain and Simmons. Grand Giveaway crossed to the outside in the home straight checking Battling Baz and Zanzibar Icon and again approaching the winning post checking Battling Baz.

Kraken Tyson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right tarsal, right back muscle and abrasions to the left foreleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Chill Out Ilsa was slow to begin. 

Crackerjack Des and Yuken Talk collided soon after the start. Sprinvale Misty, Billy's Missile, Sweet Potato and Jitterbug Witch collided on the first turn checking Sprinvale Misty, Billy's Missile, Sweet Potato, Jitterbug Witch and Yuken Talk. Springvale Misty checked off Billy's Missile on the home turn checking Sweet Potato and Jitterbug Witch.

Billy's Missile underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound. No stand down period was imposed.

Librarian checked off Ride On soon after the start. Ricolina Lass and Lunaray collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Aston Coopers, Furnace Bale and Toolleen Town collided on the first turn checking Aston Coopers and Furnace Bale. Maggie Pie and Toolleen Town collided approaching the home turn. Parrotfish Fozz and Toolleen Town collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Infinite Will underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left foreleg. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards questioned Trainer, Mr Jason Formosa regarding the number of starts Crazy Old Fool has had over the past month - 8 starts in 28 days. Mr Formosa stated that he checked his greyhounds for soundness every morning following a race start, doesn't exercise the dog in long training runs and rarely trials once the greyhound is fit for racing. Stewards noted Mr Formosa's explanation.

Kraken Tan checked off Dundee Vulcan soon after the start. Red Hot Chance, Cullquin Elijah and All Inn Mia collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Don's Scolari and Red Hot Chance collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Cullquin Elijah checked off Dundee Vulcan on the home turn.

Red Hot Chance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration and spike wound to the left hind foot. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Bush Bro checked off Ginny Woolf soon after the start. Completed checked off Hardaway Jayjay on the first turn.

Plumcad underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a torn nail on the right foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Montanaro checked off Lana's Image on the first turn. Montanaro and Patricia Mary collided on the home turn checking Montanaro, Patricia Mary and Black Miss. He's A Natural was slow to begin.

Scott Confusion checked off Pull Shot on the first turn checking He's A Natural and Wolfie's Swagger. Wolfie's Swagger turned his head and visibly eased on the home turn severely checking Mystic Moon. 

Wolfie's Swagger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraco - lumbar injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms T. Kennedy Harris, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Wolfie's Swagger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Kennedy Harris pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wolfie's Swagger was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards questioned Trainer, Ms D. O'mara regarding the number of starts Run Maggie Run has had over the past month - 8 starts in 28 days. Ms O'mara stated that the greyhound is lightly exercised between races in small runs, doesn't trial between races, only races the greyhound if it is fit and maintaining good form. Stewards noted Ms O'mara's explanation.

Aron Allen and All Inn Christy collided approaching the. first turn checking both greyhounds. Meatball Soup checked off Bright Flash approaching the home turn checking Gallant Toby, and severely checking Spritely Too which fell as a result. Gallant Toby and All Inn Christy collided entering the home straight. Run Maggie Run checked off Bright Flash in the home straight checking All Inn Christy.

Spritely Too underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
