Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Got Some Zip and Tilson collided soon after the start. Jonah Alcatraz and Sunspear collided at the 250m mark. Jonah Alcatraz and Tilson collided at the 200m mark. Sunspear and Italia Bella collided at the 150m mark. Tilson and Italia Bella collided approaching the 100m mark. Jonah Alcatraz and Ishmy Neecy collided several times from the 100m mark to the winning post checking Ishmy Neecy.

Jonah Alcatraz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left and right triceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. McMillan, the trainer of Jonah Alcatraz and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners at the 50m mark.

Finlaystone – New declared weight of 30.4kgs, last raced at 31.5kgs.

Billy Swagger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right hamstring. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

The Stewards noted the number 9 magnet was placed incorrectly above the number 5 starting box instead of the number 1 box. This had no material impact on the race as all greyhounds started from the correct box wearing the correct rugs. 

Cristalle Blue and Bubsy John were slow to begin.

Usara Allen and Awakened Dragon collided soon after the start. Midnight Muscat and Inter Rose collided several times at the 150m mark. Midnight Muscat checked off Inter Rose at the 50m mark.
