Sweet Ambush and Quick Transition collided approaching the first turn. Sweet Ambush faulted approaching the first turn and lost ground. Broken Pieces and Hot Tottie collided on the first turn.
A post-race sample was taken from Quick Transition - the winner of the event.
Sweet Ambush underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8. Sweet Ambush was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
