Steward's Report
Midnight Muscat – Late scratching at 7.42am when Mrs Sharlene Whitford reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Goorawin – New declared weight of 26.8kgs, last raced at 25.5kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Goorawin.
Goorawin underwent a pre-race veterinary examination upon retrieval from the kennels and was passed fit to race.
Aurora Miss and Goorawin were slow to begin.
Mega Hazel and Five Lights collided approaching the first turn. Mega Mckayla checked off Five Lights on the first turn. Five Lights and Doused In Mud collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to Mr Shane Jack regarding the betting activity on Aurora Miss. Mr Jack stated that he had not supported the greyhound himself and was unaware of the betting activity. Stewards noted the explanation and passed the information onto the GRV betting analyst for review.
