Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from All Over Elly.
Meatball Soup was quick to begin. All Over Elly, Distracted and Loco Luca collided on the first turn checking Distracted, Tommy Cawbourne, Loco Luca and Empire Baz. Distracted galloped on the heels of Tex Lee approaching the home turn. Tex Lee checked off Empire Baz entering the home straight.
Stewards questioned Mr. J. Abela regarding the racing manners of Meatball Soup approaching the winning post. Mr. Abela explained that the greyhound is normally strong in the early stage of it's races however, at this stage of it's career has not been running on strongly over the latter stages. After considering Mr. Abela's comments, acting on their own observations and viewing the available footage, Stewards took no action regarding the matter.
