Mr. Abela explained that the greyhound is normally strong in the early stage of it's races however, at this stage of it's career has not been running on strongly over the latter stages. After considering Mr. Abela's comments, acting on their own observations and viewing the available footage, Stewards took no action regarding the matter.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Hammerstein regarding the frequency of racing for his greyhound Crackerjack Ale. Mr. Hammerstein stated he normally doesn't race as often but the greyhound is fit and healthy and has placed in it's last two starts. Mr. Hammerstein further explained that he does not work or trial his greyhounds between races.
