Ottantotto was quick to begin.
Wings To Fly, Shanlyn Patch and Ice Toronado collided soon after the start checking Shanlyn Patch. Ice Toronado checked off Lara's Gem on the first turn. Vapour Patch checked off Hot Millions approaching the home turn. Vapor Patch and Ice Toronado collided on the home turn. Vapour Patch and Wings To Fly collided entering the home straight checking Wings To Fly.
Ottantotto which lead the field before cramping in the home straight and finishing last was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound cramped in the right hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. David Todd, the handler of the greyhound Ottantotto. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
