Steward's Report
Barellen Jewell - Late scratching at 14:40 under GAR 37 (4) on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Winlock Kin was quick to begin. Wrangle and Narcelle were slow to begin. Narcelle and Tiggerlong Al collided approaching the first turn checking Narcelle. Wrangle and Tiggerlong Al collided on the first turn severely checking Wrangle and checking New Cross Gate.
Wrangle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left hind toes and right groin. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
