Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Winlock Thor.
Chasing Rex was slow to begin. Winlock Thor and Valletta Mist collided soon after the start checking Winlock Thor. Greysynd Blue and Valletta Mist collided on the first turn checking Blackpool Amour, Valletta Mist and Winlock Thor. Greysynd Blue galloped on the heels of Winlock Thor approaching the home turn. Greysynd Blue marred Winlock Thor in the home straight.
Greysynd Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left fore webbing and left knee cap. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Winlock Thor underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Chilcott, the handler of Greysynd Blue regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Greysynd Blue was charged with marring. Mrs. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Greysynd Blue is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
