Steward's Report
Pirate Lee, Ben Doon, Longbow, Arancini and New Cross Gate collided soon after the start checking Longbow and severely checking Arancini which fell as a result. Pirate Lee, Ben Doon, Longbow, New Cross Gate and Claretown Trixie collided entering the back straight checking Pirate Lee, Ben Doon and New Cross Gate. Ben Doon, Longbow and New Cross Gate and collided on the first turn checking Ben Doon and Longbow.
Arancini underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury and a spike wound to the right hind webbing. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Claretown Trixie, winner of the event.
