Raven Rich and Play Along collided soon after the start. Poppo's Darling, Manila Mist and Skinny Legend collided soon after the start. Manila Mist and Skinny Legend collided at the 125m mark. Skinny Legend checked off Kirsty Koi at the 75m mark. Skinny Legend and Play Along collided approaching the winning post. Skinny Legend visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Skinny Legend underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 5, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Ms T. Curtain, the trainer of Skinny Legend regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Skinny Legend was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Curtain pleaded guilty to the charge, Skinny Legend is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
