Miss Pocket Aces and North Wind collided soon after the start. Miss Pocket Aces checked off North Wind at the 300m mark. Miss Pocket Aces and Gunmetal Liam collided approaching the 250m mark. Got It Right crossed in approaching the 150m mark and collided with Gunmetal Liam. Miss Pocket Aces, Gunmetal Liam and Got It Right collided at the 100m mark. Got It Right lost ground in the concluding stages of the event.
Got It Right underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from North Wind - the winner of the event.
