Skinny Legend underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 5, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Ms T. Curtain, the trainer of Skinny Legend regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Skinny Legend was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Curtain pleaded guilty to the charge, Skinny Legend is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Due to a malfunction with the timing mechanism the finish time for this event was semaphored as 24.18. On viewing the official video replay the event was subsequentlly hand timed by the judge at 19.74.

Blue Cigar was slow to begin.
