Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Paganini.
Cloncurry Girl was quick to begin.
Tankalicious and Paganini collided approaching the first turn checking Tankalicious. Bomber's Return and Cloncurry Girl collided on the first turn checking Cloncurry Girl. Mumma's Bear and Just Jimmy collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Paganini visibly eased and turned it's head inwards in the home straight and collided with Mumma's Bear, Tankalicious, Cloncurry Girl severely checking Concurry Girl checking Mumma's Bear, Tankalicious and Paganini.
Paganini underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr Clark declined a re-vet.
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Clark, the trainer of Paganini regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Paganini was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Clarke pleaded guilty to the charge, Paganini is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
