Cloncurry Girl was quick to begin.

Tankalicious and Paganini collided approaching the first turn checking Tankalicious.  Bomber's Return and Cloncurry Girl collided on the first turn checking Cloncurry Girl.  Mumma's Bear and Just Jimmy collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Paganini visibly eased and turned it's head inwards in the home straight and collided with Mumma's Bear, Tankalicious, Cloncurry Girl severely checking Concurry Girl checking Mumma's Bear, Tankalicious and Paganini. 

Paganini underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Mr Clark declined a re-vet.

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Clark, the trainer of Paganini regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Paganini was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Clarke pleaded guilty to the charge, Paganini is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Teardrop was slow to begin.

Khandela and Fidelia collided approaching the first turn.  Shanlyn Spot raced wide on the first turn.  Teardrop and Blazin' Hawk collided on the first turn and again on the home turn.

Ninetymile Donny was slow to begin.

Karaka, Ninetymile Donny, Royal Jebrynah and Bush Bro collided soon after the start checking Ninetymile Donny, Royal Jebrynah and severely checking Karaka which stumbled and lost ground.  Karaka faltered on the first turn and pulled up.  Royal Jebrynah checked Ninetymile Donny in the home straight.

Karaka underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Looby Sky and Go Lucy Go were slow to begin.

She Got Fire, Hurricane Billie and Dan's Hopeful collided soon after the start checking She Got Fire and Hurricane Billie.  Looby Sky checked off Gypsy Kiowa approaching the first turn checking She Got Fire and Hurricane Billie.  Red Beryl raced wide on the first turn.  Gypsy Kiowa and No Sugar collided approaching the home turn checking No Sugar.  Looby Sky and Gypsy Kiowa collided in the home straight checking Gypsy Kiowa.  Dan's Hopeful and No Sugar collided approaching the winning post. 

Milo And Milk - Late scratching at 11.57am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr D. Templeton was fined $100.

Placid Murphy and St. Leo were slow to begin.

Mini Fernando and Placid Murphy collided approaching the first turn severely checking Placid Murphy which lost ground and subsequently tailed off.  St. Leo raced wide in the home straight.

Placid Murphy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Pocket Aces was slow to begin.

Uzzi Bale checked off Take A Rose soon after the start.  Rock Me Elijah crossed in approaching the first turn checking Rynell Bale and Miss Pocket Aces.  Take A Rose and Fourth Dimention collided on the first turn checking Take A Rose.  Rynell Bale and Uzzi Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Uzzi Bale, Table Top and Fourth Dimention collided on the home turn checking Table Top and Take A Rose which stumbled.  Banjo Sally and Fourth Dimention collided several times in the home straight.
