Buddy Goes Bang and Madame Duggie collided on the first turn checking Buddy Goes Bang, Inter Joe, Nut And Bolt, Super Stoked and Tennyson Girl. Madame Duggie and Big Baccala collided approaching the home turn checking Madame Duggie, Nut And Bolt and Tennyson Girl. Nut And Bolt and Big Baccala collided on the home turn. Buddy Goes Bang and Inter Joe collided on the home turn. Madam Duggie raced wide entering the home straight. Inter Joe visibly eased approaching the winning post checking Big Baccala.
Super Stoked underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hind toe injury. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Formosa, the trainer of Inter Joe regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Inter Joe was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Inter Joe is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
