Thug Rose was slow to begin.
Iman Bale and Chill Out Diesel collided on the first turn checking Chill Out Diesel. Iman Bale and Chill Out Diesel collided several times on the home turn. Chill Out Diesel marred Iman Bale in the home straight checking Iman Bale.
A post-race sample was taken from Stan's Hope, winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Chilcott, the trainer of Chill Out Diesel regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Mr. Chilcott declined to have the greyhound vetted following the event. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Chill Out Diesel was charged with marring. Mr. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Chill Out Diesel is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
