Has The Power was quick to begin. Flying Nimbus and Tough Dude collided approaching the first turn. Flying Nimbus marred Tough Dude approaching the home turn severely checking Tough Dude.
Flying Nimbus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a slight abrasion to the left humerus area.
Tough Dude underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Trim, the trainer of Flying Nimbus regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Flying Nimbus was charged with marring. Mr. Trim pleaded guilty to the charge, Flying Nimbus is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
