Steward's Report
Big Dance galloped on Yep Yep on the first turn checking Big Dance, Yep Yep and Seabrook Gem. Honestly Bob galloped on Yep Yep approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Speedy Ryder and Miracles Happen collided approaching the home turn. Big Dance and Seabrook Gem collided on the home turn.
Petey Baqui underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a left hock sprain and a left thigh muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Steel, handler of Miracles Happen, regarding a significant maket move on fixed odds betting ($15-$8) for the greyhound. Mr. Steel stated that the kennel did not support Miracles Happen in today’s event and was unaware of any betting fluctuation. Mr. Steel added that Miracles Happen was down in class today, and has suffered interference in its recent starts and benefitted from obtaining a clear run in today’s event.
A post-race sample was taken from Miracles Happen - the winner of the event.
