Pre race samples were taken from Modest Ruler unplaced in the event.
Ikari Thunder was slow to begin. Modest Ruler and Young Gunner collided soon after the start. Super Zippy crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Young Gunner, Modest Ruler, Chloe's Creek and Keyser Soze. Ikari Thunder and Clinical Finish collided approaching the second turn. Modest Ruler checked off Chloe's Creek on the second turn. Chloe's Creek and Modest Ruler collided on the home turn checking Chloe's Creek.
