Feelin' Hot – New declared weight of 26.3kg, last raced at 27.7kg.
Run Fast Maggie and Paddy Ray collided on the first turn checking Paddy Ray. Tonking Home and Feelin' Hot collided on the first turn severely checking Tonking Home. Feelin' Hot visibly eased and turned its head approaching the home turn.
Tonking Home underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left hock, spike wounds to the left hock and right hind paw. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Feelin' Hot underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to both hind legs, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms R. Silva, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Feelin' Hot was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Silva pleaded guilty to the charge, Feelin' Hot must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Feelin' Hot - the winner of the event.
