Lucknow Magic and Patricia Mary collided soon after the start. Crown Tuxedo checked off Enya Bale soon after the start. Ready and Enya Bale collided soon after the start. Crown Tuxedo and Lucknow Magic collided soon after the start severely checking both greyhounds. My Girl Lilly, Ready and Crown Tuxedo collided approaching the 250m mark. Steward's Report
Peaked – Late scratching at 7.39am when Mr Jason Formosa reported the greyhound to have a metacarpal injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Hanga - Late scratching at 10.39am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
MEETING ABANDONED
Due to a mechanical issue with the lure, the race meeting was abandoned at 12.10pm following consultation between GRV Stewards, Track Maintenance staff and Club Manager - Ms C. O'Brien. This decision was based on the extent of the damage and to allow an appropriate timeframe to complete repairs in time for meetings to be held on Sunday, 22 September, 2019 and Monday, 23 September, 2019.
